What connects a classic Chicago ballad with a beloved vocal group's later interpretation?

“If You Leave Me Now” — Chicago (1976)

“If You Leave Me Now” — The Lettermen (1979)

Chicago took this tender ballad to the top of the charts in 1976, earning the group its first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Three years later, The Lettermen brought their distinctive harmony style to the same song. Two recordings, two musical approaches, and one unforgettable love song!
